The Orillia Packet, Jane 2, 1891- Mr. A.G. McLeod, writing to his brother George says that in Santa Rosa, California, they had just had the first rain since March. The farmers of that district had done remarkably well last year. Messrs. John Wylie and A.G. McLeod are in partnership as carriage makers, and are doing well. Mr. McLeod, however, states that mechanics going to California in search of employment are very likely to meet with disappointment.
The Orillia Packet & Times, Jan 28, 1937- OBITUARIES- ARCHIBALD GRAY MCLEOD– The older generation of Orillians will remember Archibald Gray McLeodd, who spent his youth here, and began his working life in the employ of the Ramsey Carriage Company. Mr. McLeod passed away on January 9, at Ventura, California, at the age of 70. He had lived in that state for the past thirty years, and was in business as a partner in a firm of sign writers and decorators, an art in which he was an expert in the finer branches. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. J.W. Blair, of Sault Ste. Marie, formerly Kate McLeod.
