From Orillia Packet and Times Obituary:  Miss Christina McLeod, a resident of Midland for many years, and a former summer resident at Victoria Point where she and her brother had one of the first summer cottages, died at Midland, on Thursday, July 16, within two days of her eighty-ninth birthday. Miss McLeod was a daughter of the late Malcolm McLeod, and was born near Hillsdale. For many years she owned a millinery shop in Midland, where she conducted a quite successful business. She was a member of the Presbyterian church, and was greatly respected by those who knew her. Miss McLeod’s death will be regretted by friends both in Midland and Orillia. Her brother predeceased her a few years ago.
